Aug. 26: ‘A Haunting in Venice’ at the PAC

On Monday, August 26, at the Performing Arts Center (PAC)/Clubhouse 3, watch “A Haunting in Venice,” which follows retired detective Hercule Poirot as he reluctantly attends a séance in post-World War II Venice, only to be drawn into a web of mystery when a guest is murdered.

Showings are at 2 and 7 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and no tickets are required. The PAC/Clubhouse 3 is located at 23822 Avenida Sevilla.

Aug. 26: Hearty Italian Buffet

Feast at an Italian buffet on Monday, August 26, at Clubhouse 5, starting at 5 p.m. Martinez’s menu will feature Caesar salad, antipasto salad, chicken parmesan, spaghetti, beef meatballs with marinara, green beans with onions and peppers, garlic bread and rolls, and spumoni ice cream and cookies.

Tickets are $27 per person at the Clubhouse 5 office. Please pay via credit/debit card or check only. Credit/debit card fees apply.

Sept 5: Bob Newhart ‘Button Down Concert’

In honor of Bob Newhart and what would have been his 95th birthday, come to the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, September 5 at 7 p.m. to laugh and appreciate the brilliance of one of America’s most beloved dead-pan comedians.

Newhart’s unprecedented three successful TV series and guest roles endeared him to millions. In his “Button-Down Concert” performance, he recalls his days as a comedy circuit cut-up. Tackling everything from crazy bus drivers and mad inventors to cheap airlines and King Kong, Bob Newhart takes 

the ordinary and makes it extraordinarily funny.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Sept. 23: Steak Dinner

On Monday, September 23, at Clubhouse 5, enjoy a steak dinner catered by Martinez, whose menu features New York steak, shrimp scampi, rosemary potatoes, fresh fruit, rolls and butter, cheesecake and chocolate cake.

The price is $34 per person. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 28, in the Clubhouse 5 office. Credit card or checks only; credit card fees apply.
