GRF Board Calls for 2023 Candidates
The Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) Board of Directors is calling for interested Laguna Woods Village members to submit candidate applications for the 2023 annual election. The GRF board seeks to fill three seats with terms ending with the 2026 annual election. The fourth vacancy on the GRF board will be filled by a Mutual No. Fifty board delegate, selected by the Mutual No. Fifty Board of Directors, according to GRF bylaws.
GRF board members are elected by the corporate members who are the current members of the housing mutual boards of directors. GRF board members are not elected by general election.
As of Friday, September 8, 2023, interested members may obtain an application and election process instructions in person (applications will not be delivered digitally) at the Office of the CEO, located in the Community Center (24351 El Toro Road), from Corporate Secretary Makayla Schwietert (949-268-2295) or Assistant Corporate Secretary Paul Nguyen (949-268-2383).
Completed applications, candidate video agreements and candidate statements documents are due to Ms. Schwietert or Mr. Nguyen in person (no digital files will be accepted) no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023. The election of candidates will occur at the annual corporate members meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 10 a.m.
