The Library Is Back, Baby!

We’re pleased to announce that normal Village Library operations will resume Tuesday, June 15.

  • No limitations on the number of residents who can enter the library
  • Reading area will be available to view newspapers and magazines, build jigsaw puzzles and use the iPads
  • Computers to search the library’s catalog will be reactivated
  • Shelves filled just inside the front door containing low-mileage hardbacks, paperbacks and DVDs for sale

Reserve Checkout Process

The prepandemic reserve checkout process will resume. Tell the checkout volunteer you have a reserved item and it will be checked out to you at that time. Starting June 15, due dates will revert to two weeks, with the possibility of renewing books and CD books for an additional two weeks if they are unreserved by others. DVDs cannot be renewed. Any items checked out on June 15 or beyond will begin accruing overdue fines at $0.25 per day after two weeks, if not renewed.

Our Village Library has thousands of paperbacks and hundreds of jigsaw puzzles that may be borrowed on the honor system with no need for checkout and no fixed due date. With the return to full capacity and regular hours, the outside shelves will not be stocked.

If you have any questions, please email lwvillagelibrary@yahoo.com. Stop in and explore your library!
