Library, History Center Reopen May 5
On Wednesday, May 5, the Village Library and the Laguna Woods History Center reopen to residents. Our original announcement stated that the library would reopen Monday, May 3; however, issues with delayed Plexiglas installation and our wishes to ensure volunteer safety pushed the date back.
Monday and Tuesday the library will offer scheduled checkout as usual.
Patrons may browse shelves for books or other media to check out and enjoy (see below for details).
Library hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hours are determined by volunteer availability.
Patrons must check in with the door monitor and adhere to social distancing requirements while waiting to enter the library. Masks must be worn at all times.
Capacity will be limited to 15 patrons and six volunteers at one time. When at capacity, numbered tickets will be distributed to those who are waiting. A waiting area will be set up on the front patio.
- Items available for checkout: books and DVDs
- Items available on the front patio: daily newspapers, magazines and puzzles
- Remains closed at this time: reading and puzzle-building area; iPad usage
