Village Amenities Partially Reopen as OC Moves to Orange Tier

As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to decrease in Orange County, our region continues to progress along the tiered timeline outlined in California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. News of moving into the Orange Tier (Tier 3) was anticipated for Wednesday, April 7; however, we are pleased to share the great news that this date has been moved to today.

The next phase of the Village’s reopening plan—which includes reopening of Clubhouse 4, the Clubhouse 1 indoor fitness center, the restart of some favorite activities and more—becomes effective April 5. Residents can look forward to arts amenities, as well as bingo, movies, additional golf cart parades, personal training, dance classes and special interest classes. The library will open after volunteers are in place and Plexiglas is installed for volunteer protection.

Advance reservations are required; no walk-ins are permitted. Please make reservations starting 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, via the ActiveNet online reservation systemClick here for instructions on how to use ActiveNet. Click here for an instructional video on how to use ActiveNet.

Please note that depending on developing and/or immediate circumstances beyond anyone’s control, tiers and guidance may change. Also, some amenities may take time to restaff, as the current challenging hiring market has hindered staff recruitment, which typically takes six to eight weeks, including training.

The next tier the Village can look forward to is the Yellow Tier (Tier 4), which continues indoor openings with modifications at 50% capacity instead of the Orange Tier’s 25%.
