SCE Utility Subsidy Deadline Extended
The City of Laguna Woods has extended the deadline of its COVID-19 Home Electric Utility Subsidy Program, through which qualifying households can apply to receive a subsidy payment for increased electric utility costs (monies paid to Southern California Edison) incurred between March 1, 2020, and August 31, 2020, as a result of complying with coronavirus-related public health measures (e.g., California Department of Public Health and Orange County Health Officer guidance advising older adults to remain at home).
The extended deadline to apply is October 30 at 5 p.m., or sooner if funding is exhausted.
