Tuna Fishing Trip
Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching
First trip August 17-19; second trip September 15-17; third trip October 13-15
This is a 1 1/2 day fishing trip for tuna, dorado and yellowtail. We leave the dock at about 9 p.m. on the first day and return at about 3 a.m. on the third day. On the second day, we will fish from sunrise to sunset.
We will be in the neighborhood of San Clemente Island. We could be fishing in Mexican waters. We will let you know, because that will require a passport.
The boat has a bunk room for sleeping. Bunks will be assigned by the captain. The boat's galley can serve hamburgers, hot dogs, a full breakfast or breakfast burrito. The boat also sells chips, sodas, beer and water. All food and fish cleaning are at your expense. We usually pull into a cove at San Clemente Island for dinner. After that, you have free time to sleep, play cards, watch TV and so forth.
The Laguna Woods Village Rod and Gun Club is a group of seniors who enjoys fishing together. We fish for inshore species out of Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching in Dana Point. The chartered boat features a galley that serves sandwiches, snacks, sodas and water.
