Continued Security Gate Improvements
We are pleased to announce the RV lot located behind the broadband building off Via Campos Verde has been equipped with automated security gate technology and is working as designed. Prior to the new security gate, the RV gate had to be manually operated by residents wishing to gain access to their vehicles. However, with the implementation of the new automated technology, access is easily achieved by simply swiping a preprogrammed ID card issued to residents assigned an authorized parking space. Resident access to this gate is 24 hours a day.
In addition, security gate technology was installed at the Maintenance Service Center entrance off Via Campo Verde. Staff and resident access hours for this gate are from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. After 9:30 p.m., only VMS vehicles equipped with RFID technology may enter this area. Gate 11 Security and RFID Technology Improvements
The Gate 11 automated security gate technology project is currently in the planning phase with construction tentatively scheduled to start in June. Staff is working with the contractor and the city to determine the feasibility of opening Gate 13 as an alternate point of access during the construction phase.
