He also was chair of the landscaping and water-conservation committees. Previously, he served as a Rowland Heights community coordinator to bridge the gap between Rowland Heights residents and the County of Los Angeles.

He holds a Master of Geology from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, and has an extensive background in geophysics.

He will fulfill a term ending this year.

According to a written statement, Director Tung looks forward to monitoring VMS efficiency and performance.

Director Brown, a two-year Village resident, is a boarder at the Equestrian Center and member of the Saddle Club. She holds a master’s degree in clinical counseling and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence, and brings extensive experience as a trial and appellate lawyer, a partner in a national litigation firm, a professional mental health and marriage/family counselor and a small business creator and owner.

She will fulfill a term ending in 2021. “I am committed to and financially invested in this community and intend to make it my ‘forever home,’” Director Brown said in a written statement. “I am volunteering to help keep Laguna Woods Village a welcome place for new residents and a pleasing, well-managed, interactive place for existing residents so we can all continue to invest in our surroundings and experience retirement as enjoyably as possible.”
