Village Residents and Teens Garden Together
As part of Gardening with Grandparents on Saturday, November 23, a group of teens from Mission Viejo’s Tesoro High School Gardening Club returned to Garden Center 1 to assist resident gardeners with plot maintenance, fruit tree picking and plot gleaning. The group’s energy and spirit brought life to the gardens and especially touched one gardener, as her husband recently passed. She stated that these kids are extra special and their assistance meant a lot to her. The group has agreed to return on a regular basis and will coordinate with Garden Center staff to announce dates in advance.
