Celebrate the Day of the Dead in the Village
On Thursday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Clubhouse 1 Main Lounge and back patio, join in the community’s first-ever Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event and enjoy pan de muerto and Mexican coffee, performances and an educational presentation. The gazebo patio will feature a community altar, or “ofrenda,” where residents can honor loved ones with photos, flowers or mementos (no candles or food, please). An arts and crafts area will be available to create community altar offerings and decorate a provided 4x6 photo frame.
The ofrenda will remain in place until Sunday, November 3. Please do not bring original photos or valuables; altar items may not be returned.
