Waste Management Offers Cart Valet Service
Waste Management (WM) provides waste and recycling services throughout the City of Laguna Woods, including curbside collection of residential trash and recycling carts. While WM’s carts are designed to maneuver easily, WM and the City of Laguna Woods have partnered to offer an optional cart valet service for residents with cart service. Cart Valet Service is provided by WM drivers who will enter your property, take your carts to the curb and return them after they are emptied. Cart Valet Service is offered free of charge to qualifying residents and for a small fee to other residents.
To qualify for the free service, a resident must be unable to move his or her carts to the curb for collection and have no one living with them who can do the same, and:
- Complete the three-page application packet
- Submit a copy of the resident’s current, unexpired disabled DMV-issued placard or license plate/registration (will be required annually)
- Submit a letter from a physician confirming that the resident is unable to move his or her carts to the curb for collection, and that to the best of the physician’s knowledge there is no other capable person living with the resident to move his or her carts to the curb (will be required annually)
