“Acrylic Painting Using Design Elements,” a painting class with Renaissance woman and award-winning artist, Penni Rubin.
Painters can learn to use design elements as a way to enhance their work in all mediums. Class will cover composition and color theory, plus ways to speed up your painting and develop skills. Students may bring in samples of their work to the first class for critique. Class meets on Fridays from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. in the Clubhouse 6 Multipurpose Room starting January 18, 2019.
Penni has painted hundreds of paintings and is known for her fast acrylic paintings. She has paintings on display in the Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and studied at Parsons School of Design, Fashion Institute of Technology and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Penni teaches and critiques watercolors, acrylics and photography. In 2015 she was inducted into the International Educator’s Hall of Fame.
