On November 10, 2018, a benefit concert called “Rockin’ with the Vets,” a jazz, doo wop and barbershop show --will be held at the Laguna Woods Performing Arts Center, Clubhouse 3, in Laguna Woods Village. This musical program will feature a 15-member group “The California Jazz Project,” the “Melody Makers” – a 50-member barbershop chorus, an octet “Eight is Enough,” and other small group ensemble and solo performances. The Melody Makers is a choral ensemble of male and female voices specializing in the rehearsal and performance of barbershop harmony. Members of the California Jazz Project are selected by the director to perform jazz, doo wop and other popular forms of music.
