Woman's Golf Club launches Food Drive for South County Outreach
As part of an ongoing effort to support Village residents, the Women’s Golf Club (18 Holes) will host a Food Drive to benefit South County Outreach.
The Food Drive kicks off Tuesday, May 15 during the club’s regular meeting and continues every Tuesday through June 19.
There are more than 100 Village residents who regularly use the services of the South County Outreach Food Pantry. The nonprofit organization’s director of operations Renee Stevenson will talk about the need in our community and how the organization works to prevent hunger and homelessness in Orange County.
The types of food items sought for the Food Drive will differ each Tuesday based South County Outreach’s needs. For the May 15 meeting, the organization is seeking pasta and sauces (click here). Checks payable to South County Outreach are also welcomed. Simply drop off items every Tuesday in the collection barrel between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Club Room 3 at the Golf Course/Restaurant 19.
The club's meeting is available to members and Village Women’s 9-hole and Men’s 9- and 18-hole golf clubs.
