Magic Jukebox October 20-22
Save the date for a spectacular celebration of 40 years of rock 'n’ roll October 20-22 at the Performing Arts Center.
The Theatre Guild is gearing up to present “The Magic Jukebox,” a blast from the past paying tribute to the superstars and music that changed the world. Performed live, the non-stop classics will cover the birth of rock 'n' roll in the ‘50s with pioneers like Elvis Presley and Bill Haley & the Comets; the revolutionary peace-loving ‘60s epitomized by Woodstock, the British Invasion and Jimi Hendrix; the transforming ‘70s with the Rolling Stones; and time-honored musicians like the Blues Brothers, Cher and Michael Jackson moon-walking through the dynamic and diverse ‘80s.
As Theatre Guild turns back time, rock along and dance in the aisles. Don’t miss this chance to jitterbug, jive, twist and do the hustle to music from a live jukebox in the foyer. This unique event is written by the talents of Sheila Bialka, David Dearing and Sheryl Strich. It’s produced by Sharon Molineri and choreographed by Carol Shallin. Tickets, which range from $12-$15, are available at the box office.
