Let the Games Begin!
Mark your calendar for the 2017 Village Games that kick off Monday, October 22. Last year, more than 300 Village residents participated, including more than a dozen residents over the age of 90. Hundreds of gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the champions of 26 different sporting events.
Laguna Woods Village residents are invited to take part in the more two dozen events scheduled throughout the community including archery, badminton, basketball, bicycling, billiards, bocce ball, duplicate bridge, cribbage, equestrian, 27-hole golf, par three golf, horseshoes, lawn bowling, paddle tennis, petanque, pickleball, poker, shuffleboard, softball, swimming, table tennis, target shooting, tennis and volleyball.
Registration is underway. Click to download the instructions, registration form and calendar of events or pick up a packet at the Recreation and Special Events Department office or Performing Arts Center.
Register early to take advantage of discounted rates. Registration includes participation in four events, an event T-shirt, invitation to the opening and closing events, and eligibility for medals. Please note that some events may have additional fees (archery, equestrian, golf, softball and target shooting) that you'll pay at the venue. There are no refunds.
