We sing loud and we sing sweet,
C'mon in, we'd love to meet
The Melody Makers is Choral ensemble of female and male voices singing Barbershop for harmony and fun. We meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:20 PM in CH3 in the Rehearsal Room.
We are a part of the Saddleback Emeritus Program; our leader (director) is Doug Custance, whose credentials are so impressive we go out of our way to please him.
Classes (rehearsals) for the Fall/Winter Semester will begin on August 25th. You are invited, men and women, to join in the fun of singing Barbershop Harmony.
To register for this no fee class, just walk into the Ch3 Rehearsal Room on Wednesday, August 25th or, after that, any Wednesday, (unless we are performing elsewhere) at 3:15 PM and start singing along. First time enrollees must fill out an Application and you must have an APC Code which will be issued by our Instructor.
Our last performance of this season in the Administration Building lobby was on Thursday, July 29th at noon. We've been practising getting the most out of our music by projecting our voices and properly pronouncing the lyrics. Most people have fun watching us having fun and many hum along! Oh,yes, we lifted the roof off the building: our tones were ringing and even the harmony was in tune. If you like good Barbershop, c'mon down and have fun with us the next time we sing in the Ad Building.
On Saturday, July 31st at 5:30 P.M. we were in Concert with The Kool Kats at Club House 1, playing and singing "The Best Songs Ever". What a great time was had by all: the food, catered by Crystal Caterers was exceptionally tasty and the portions were large; the audience sang along at the appropriate times, laughed at the Directors bad jokes and clapped with fervor. You should have been there.
We also do "Singing Telegrams" for all occasions and you can book the entire Barbershop Chorus for your Party or Celebration. Call:
