Welcome to Laguna Woods Village American Ballroom Dance Club Webpage

The American Ballroom Dance Club (ABDC) provides members (and guests) with an opportunity to enjoy all conventional styles of ballroom dancing (foxtrot, waltz, east-coast swing, west-coast swing, two-step, cha-cha, rhumba, tango, samba, salsa, polka, and others) in a friendly, informal atmosphere.

The dances are generally held each Friday at Club House 5 from 7:30 to 9:30 PM with a live band supplying the music.  The dances have a suggested dress code (no blue jeans, no tee shirts, no gym shoes), and every dance includes line dances and organized mixers where every participant dances with a variety of partners.

Our current schedule includes a dance lesson from 6:20 to 7:20 PM on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, for an extra cost of only one dollar per member.

The 3rd Friday of each month is a dinner dance, which is either a buffet or a served dinner.  Either way, there is a choice of entrées, the dinner takes place between 6:15 and 7:30 PM, and it is preceded by dancing and appetizers between 5:30 and 6:15 PM.
