Pool 1- Two sun shades in the shallow end are closed 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the remainder closed all day. There are lanes designated by tile on the pool floor, however the best time to swim laps is from 8:30 am–12:00 pm. The pool is quite busy at other times of the day and you may encounter conflicts with walkers and exercisers (lap swimmers swimming the length of the pool have the right of way). The deep end is open for use during class.
Pool 2-Coolest temperatures. Serious lap swimming is best at this pool. Lane lines are available during specified hours. Kid’s Swim is from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm for children 4 to 15 years old (hours are 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm during summer months). Children under 4 are not allowed at any pool facility.
Pool 4- Warmest water. Open with the longest hours and also has handicapped access via ramps in both the pool and hot pool. There are lane demarcations for lap swimming the length and walking in the shallow end. Although the high temperatures make lap swimming uncomfortable for most people, the best time to swim laps is from 9:30 am–2:00 pm. Lap swimmers swimming length of pool always have right of way. Many people with physical limitations use the shallow end for exercise/walking and can make lap swimming at other times of the day/evening quite frustrating.
Pool 5- Shallow pool with deepest portion at 5 feet. Lane lines are available during specified hours. Generally quiet through 2:00 pm and adequate space for lap swimming. 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm is quite congested for lap swimming.
Pool 6- Small “backyard” pool with great peace and quiet. Come cool off and spend the afternoon reading, sleeping or enjoying the sunshine and light cool breeze. Swim lessons are offered in the mornings. Call 597-4419 for more information.
Schedule subject to change, as needed, to complete maintenance.
