Village Corporations Honor OC Firefighter of the Year

Village Corporations Honor OC Firefighter of the Year OCFA Engineer Jay Sellars was Commended at February 23rd American Legion Banquet  On February 23, all four Boards of Laguna Woods Village joined the American Legion-Post 257 in honoring Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) Engineer Jay Sellars for his invaluable service to the Village community. Sellars, an OCFA Battalion 4 Engineer, was named South Orange County Fire Fighter of the Year at the OCFA Best & Bravest Award Ceremony on February 2. In addition to his outstanding work as a firefighter at Station #22, Sellars has worked with the City of Laguna Woods to ready its emergency response team, and has worked to retool Battalion 4’s Earthquake Command Post. “The residents in United Mutual truly appreciate the exceptional work of Engineer Sellars’, says Ron Beldner, President of United Mutual. “I believe I speak for all the Boards when I say that we appreciate his compassion and care with regard to the circumstances of our residents.” The American Legion-Post 257 banquet took place on Thursday, February 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Clubhouse 1.
