How much of my Assessment is for Cable TV?

Included in your Basic Monthly Assessment for GRF is the cost to provide basic cable television consisting of 79 popular cable TV channels to the Community. The amount of your monthly assessment related to Cable TV is $23.42 for 2013.  This figure reflects the cost to manage and operate the cable network system.  This assessment does not include features that are billed separately such as equipment rental, premium channels, and Internet service.

In addition, you have some services that are unique to the operation of your cable television. Specifically, the amount of your assessment also includes Channel 6 which is the in-house TV Studio that generates programming specific to Laguna Woods Village, including broadcasting of all your Board meetings with closed captioning. The monthly assessment for this service is $3.12 in 2013.

Further, your assessment includes funding of reserves which is money set aside each year for future replacement of the TV Studio equipment.
