What is the policy regarding servicing of Mutual-installed and non-Mutual installed appliances?
United Mutual is responsible for repair and/or replacement of appliances that were installed by the Mutual. These appliances are GE products only and belong to the Mutual. If any appliance is replaced by the Member, the old appliance must be returned to the Mutual by contacting Property Services Desk at) 597-4600. The appliances will be picked up from the manor upon receiving the signature of the Member. The Member is responsible for the parts and labor for items not covered by the Mutual (e.g. refrigerator shelf, light bulbs in the oven or refrigerator, etc.). If an appliance is not the property of the Mutual, but it is a GE product, Staff will work on the appliance as a chargeable service to the Member. In Third Mutual, the Mutual will repair GE appliances at the Member’s expense
